Here’s a look at this week’s biggest premieres, parties and openings in Los Angeles and New York, including events for Leo, Dior’s Carousel of Dreams at Saks and a number of starry FYC screenings.
The Holdovers special screening
Focus Features hosted a special screening of The Holdovers in L.A. on Friday, followed by a Q&A moderated by filmmaker Taylor Hackford that featured director Alexander Payne, Paul Giamatti, Da’Vine Joy Randolph, Dominic Sessa, writer/producer David Hemingson and editor Kevin Tent. The event, held at the London West Hollywood, also featured a surprise meet up between Giamatti and Jeffrey Wright, who followed up a role in the Focus release Asteroid City with American Fiction.

Joe Mantegna presented Gary Sinise with the Heroes Linked Distinguished Service Award at the Heroes Linked Gala on Friday, with supporters including Robert Patrick, Jean Smart, Christopher McDonald, Gail O’Grady, Geoff Pierson, Mary McCormick and Esai Morales.
Maestro special screening
Jennifer Garner moderated a special screening of Maestro on Saturday in Los Angeles.
Rustin screening
Quinta Brunson, Yvonne Orji, Elaine Welteroth and Aja Naomi King supported Colman Domingo at a L.A. tastemaker event for Rustin on Saturday.
Global Down Syndrome Foundation’s Beautiful Be Yourself Fashion Show
On Saturday, Global Down Syndrome Foundation raised $2.5 million at its Beautiful Be Yourself Fashion Show, held in Denver. The star-studded event, now in its 15th year, was attended by celebrities including Rob Lowe, Laura Linney, John C. McGinley, Caterina Scorsone, Kevin McKidd, Anthony Hill, Alexis Floyd, Jake Borelli, Danielle Savre, Terrell Davis, Beverly Johnson and Max Carver.
Charlotte Schiff-Booker book party
Manager David Schiff and wife Assia Grazioli hosted a cocktail party, author talk and book-signing for Charlotte Schiff-Booker’s new memoir Get Outta My Way at their Pacific Palisades home on Saturday night, where Bradley Whitford moderated a Q&A.
Leo premiere
Adam Sandler joined daughters Sunny and Sadie, wife Jackie, co-stars Bill Burr, Allison Strong and Nick Turturro and directors Robert Smigel, Robert Marianetti and David Wachtenheim at their animated film’s Los Angeles premiere on Sunday.
The Fall Edit: An FYSEE Showcase
Netflix hosted an FYC showcase on Sunday for its awards contenders Beef, The Diplomat, The Fall of the House of Usher, One Piece and Queen Charlotte: A Bridgerton Story.
Alfa Romeo Paddock and hospitality suite during Las Vegas Grand Prix
Luxury automaker Alfa Romeo hosted Sara Sampaio and Crystal Minkoff and family in Las Vegas to attend the highly anticipated Formula 1 event on Saturday. Days later it was announced that Sampaio, a supermodel best known for her work with Victoria’s Secret, landed the role of Eve Teschmacher in Superman: Legacy.
“Beyond the Screen: Killers of the Flower Moon” film exhibit
Apple’s “Beyond the Screen: Killers of the Flower Moon” film exhibit opened over the weekend in Culver City. Panels included “The Character Looks of Killers of the Flower Moon” with Thomas Nellen, Kay Georgiou and Sian Grigg; “Costuming Killers of the Flower Moon” with Jacqueline West and Julie O’Keefe; “Hearing Killers of the Flower Moon” Masterclass with Mark Ulano; “Designing Killers of the Flower Moon” with Jack Fisk, Adam Willis and Marianne Bower; “The Osage Nation” with Addie Roanhorse, Chad Renfro and Julie O’Keefe; and “Casting Killers of the Flower Moon” with Ellen Lewis and Rene Haynes.
Dior’s Carousel of Dreams at Saks
Jennifer Lawrence, Rachel Zegler, Alexandra Daddario, Ashley Park, Maya Hawke, Tracee Ellis Ross, Nina Dobrev, Lola Tung and Caleb McLaughlin were among the stars who joined Saks and Dior on Monday to celebrate the unveiling of Dior’s Carousel of Dreams at Saks, featuring this year’s iconic holiday windows and light show in NYC.
International Emmy Awards
The 51st International Emmy Awards took place on Monday in NYC, where the Founders Emmy was presented to Jesse Armstrong and the Directorate Award was presented to Ektaa R. Kapoor.
Feeding America
Emma Roberts, Bridget Moynahan, Julie Bowen and Tayshia Adams supported Feeding America in New York and Los Angeles, helping provide meals to community members facing hunger this holiday season.
